McKinsey is a global management consulting firm committed to helping organizations accelerate sustainable and inclusive growth. We work with clients across the private, public, and social sectors to solve complex problems and create positive, enduring change.
In addition to consulting or client-facing roles, thousands of colleagues around the world bring their skills, experience, and perspectives to McKinsey’s internal roles. Designers and lawyers. Agile coaches and executive assistants. Software architects and communications professionals. It takes each of these talented colleagues to make meaningful impact and keep our firm operating at its best.
Your interview experience will differ depending on the role for which you apply. Several include an online assessment, others a group exercise; some candidates interview with partners, and the number of colleagues you meet will vary. Many interviews will be virtual now, but offer the same great experience no matter how far apart you are from your interviewer. Your recruiter will communicate the steps and guide you through the process so you know what to expect.
But regardless of the path or office location you pursue, the process is consistent, fair, and will offer the opportunity for you to demonstrate your skills, learn more about the role, and meet colleagues so you can get to know McKinsey.
So how should you prepare for your interviews? Relax and be yourself. Bring questions for us. Come prepared to share your experiences, knowledge, skills, and accomplishments. We look forward to meeting you.
