Justin is a partner in McKinsey’s Chicago office and leads our cybersecurity work in North America with a focus on cybersecurity transformation, cloud, technology strategy, and digital transformation. Justin designs, builds, and accelerates secure and trusted digital transformations to help organizations accelerate their mission and protect their purpose. He also works closely with the providers of and investors in cybersecurity solutions to help them grow and achieve market leadership. Justin serves clients across a wide variety of industries and global geographies.
Prior to McKinsey, Justin served as the global and Americas practice leader at a global management consulting firm and was a founding partner of the firm’s cybersecurity, technology transformation, and digital divisions. Justin was also a consultant in France, and before that, led the technology organization of a public sector consulting group. Justin began his career as a tech entrepreneur, founding a digital consulting company that designed, built, and implemented digital solutions.
In addition to his work with McKinsey, Justin serves on the faculty at Indiana University, where he teaches IT governance, risk, and controls in the master’s programs and has won numerous awards for his real-world curriculum and innovative teaching methods.
A strong believer in the power of education, Justin founded a scholarship focused on providing higher education opportunities to students in need. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and various executive and board forums. He is a published thought leader on the topics of technology strategy, cybersecurity, technology risk, and digital transformation. Justin has a bachelor of science and an MBA from Indiana University, Bloomington, and holds the following professional certifications: CDPSE, CGEIT, CIPP/US, CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, GIAC/GSEC, ITIL, PMP, and TOGAF.
Justin lives in the Chicago suburbs and serves on the board of trustees at Ravinia, a not-for-profit music festival, and is a member of the Indiana University Kelley School of Business Dean’s Council. In his free time, Justin enjoys listening to and playing music, studying geology, and spending quality time with his kids.
