A leader of McKinsey’s Global Advanced Industries Practice, Masahiro primarily advises Japan-based automotive and electronics clients. He has also led the firm’s automotive sector in Asia.

Masahiro leverages his over 30 years of McKinsey consulting experience to serve clients on an array of topics, including growth-strategy design, new-business development, organizational transformation, purchasing and research development, and supply-chain operational improvement.

His recent activities cover numerous advisory roles for Japanese companies pursuing global growth, such as counselling a Japanese manufacturer on driving global growth strategy, designing and supporting new-business planning for emerging markets, reducing overseas procurement costs, enhancing subsidiary governance, and improving organizational health.

Masahiro also leverages his transportation, logistics and infrastructure knowledge across industries to provide consulting to Japanese transport companies pursuing organizational performance , profitability acceleration and M&A and globalization strategies for logistics firms, as well as digital transformation in the construction sector.
